Hello, sorry for the inconvenience! If you're using Windows, probably try to set so the system shows the file extension (you can search google on how to do it), the try rename the file to mp4 again. If not, maybe try to open the file by using right click and then choose open file with -> choose the video software you use. I'm using vlc and has no problem with this. Good luck!
