I know it's a late post.
While our Riida has turned 36, my LJ here has also turned 6!!! YAY!!! 🎉🎊🎇🎆😁
I honestly didn't remember why I picked November 25th as the date to make this LJ account... yeah, only a day earlier from the birthday of the person who baited me as an Arashian. Maybe it was just a sheer luck or merely coincidence. Nevertheless, I'm glad.
I met many people since I'm into Arashi, a lot of them online, and some more I even met in real life. I couldn't be more grateful to be able to know people from the other side of the world just because we have the common interest, which is Arashi. Courtesy of our fishing leader, Ohno Satoshi, of course.
To all the people I met through the subbing team (I'm glad to be part of you, girls... even what I've done is practically nothing compared to the translators, timers, and typesetters), the people I met through twitter (which I made as a communication means for the subbing team, initially), the people I met through Line group (extended from both twitter/LJ connection), the people I met from the buyer-seller relationship, and the people I met when I went to see the boys (and the trip, naturally), I'm so truly very glad I've met you all.
Oh, and of course the people I met through tumblr!!! I'm not as active as way back then but I still visit it from time to time.
I've never thought that this journal will reach this age, really. Or more like I've never thought that I will be in this Arashian realm this long. Hence explained the username I chose for this LJ. I made this LJ account on a whim, never meant it as something I would use a lot. The name "justfever" relates to what I feel back then. I thought when I like Arashi it would be a temporary thing and I quite sure it was just a short period, so maybe it was just a fever I guess. A fever that will be gone sooner or later. But then... look at me now. I have never imagined that I will like them so much to even made to their concert twice, moreover went on journeys to a faraway country. I made big steps here and there, something I treasured and cherished. Before I know it, this fever has been running this long.
So, "meeting" Arashi gave a lot of "firsts" for me. Creating this journal is only one of them. On the other hand, Arashi gave me a lot more too: support, inspiration, motivation, solace, comfort, determination, hope, and gratitude for everything I got in every day life. For me, Arashi is like a friend that walk together side by side with me, sometimes offering hand for support when I wasn't able to stand or walk.
I'm glad I know Arashi. As simple as that.
Day #6, Fukuoka, Saga, Osaka
Got hyped on the night before, I couldn't get enough sleep... but still I woke up early. We need to packed quick since we have to left early so I could buy more goods in the dome. The hotel provided a proper breakfast and I enjoyed it very much. We rode the taxi to get to the station then take a train to reach Hakata Station. I was so sleepy inside the warm train, thanks to the good breakfast and the lack of sleep combined. We got off at Hakata Station and I left my friend with my luggage so she can stay in the manga kissa while waiting to meet her friend later.
( just like... )
Day #5 – Japonism Tour - Yafuoku Dome, Dec 18th 2015
We're finally arrived on the big moment! Yafuoka Dome is a huge building, with a long steep stairs to reach it from the bus stop. Luckily, there's elevator so we can save our legs for the concert instead. We plan to meet Virginia who agree to get her ticket from my friend, but she'll arrive later, as she needs to do something. She already bought her goods earlier in the day tho. So that left us with the shopping and we done it pretty quick: there's queue but everyone is moving so fast, I have to thanks the goods staffs for their hard work! It didn't feel like we're waiting at all. I bought calendar, bag, and penlight (a must? Credit to our MJ) with furoshiki and some masking tapes before they're gone in a flash! The rest of the goods can wait later. Just like in Tokyo Dome, I can easily recognized the blue long coat the goods staffs are wearing. Guess it's the same everywhere?
( beware: very very very long japonism ahead! )
Sorry for any misspelling and grammar fails ><
I woke up very early and even packed my stuffs the night before to save time. I need to print my boarding pass and will need more time to explore the airport (or so I plan). After waiting for about 15-20 minutes before the receptionist appeared to check out and return my key, I walked ahead to the direction of the station. It was still dark outside. It's just that I was stupid enough not to notice that Lawson actually has English menu for their printing service and instead I went to 7-11 (which was nearer) and challenging myself with their full-of-katakanas-printing machine. Whatever, I thought, if this goes wrong I could just take one step back or abort it and do it all over again. So I did, took some steps twice or thrice over and finally got my document from USB disk printed. It was cheap, only 10 yen for a leaf of white and black printing.
My plan for Day #3 is... to watch Kazama's butai with Fatma!!! Yay! I was so excited!!!
That is... if we can get the ticket, haha. And to go to the place, The New National Theatre, is another thing. I have to go to Shinjuku first then change to Keio Line to reach Hatsudai. Problem is, Shinjuku is big and I'm not familiar with it and we literally lost, if not almost, in it last year. Also, Shinjuku is quite far away from Minami-senju. I have to take off at Nippori and take almost half of the Yamanote line to reach the big station.
( more [babbling]... )
I woke up early just as planned. Well, with a little rolling now and then... haha. But yep, I'm early enough for a person who's supposed to be jetlagged. My motivation is... to get a good breakfast at Lawson 100 nearby! I was so fall in love with Lawson 100 last year unfortunately I haven't got time to explore one that's located very close to my hotel. So I went and grab my usual staples: wakame onigiri (no tuna mayo! Why?), a pack of boiled eggs (I really really really love this) called ajitsuke tamago, and a small pack of salad (lettuce and sliced onions). I went back to the hotel chirping happily that even the cold morning weather outside feels so fresh to a tropical person like me.
Main staple for survival.
Yeah, the plan for Tuesday, December 15th (wow, last night there was zero and I missed it, I realized) is to meet a friend of my friend back at home and pass some important stuffs to her. She's also love Arashi and one big point is that her ichiban is Ohno <3. Guess I'll have a great quality time today, I thought. The first day is usually a day when I have trouble deciding where to go first (we only promised to meet at noon on around 1) since I have a long list of destinations and which route is the best to take (timely and economically LOL). I know I plan to visit Kagurazaka in the morning one of the days but... well, after hesitating until almost 10 I decided to go for it.
YAY!!! So my second Japan trip just completed~~~
(actually last week... I'm just too lazy to write and post)
I know when I plan to complete last year trip reports, I didn't make it (yet, 'cause I still want to continue, for the sake of me!) but I really really want to complete this year report... or may I say, diary? Yep yep. This time it's hitori tabi. I departed from the airport all alone and most of the times make the journey by myself, except when I met friends. Anxious? Yes, I have to admit. It was my first hitori tabi for a plane trip, furthermore overseas. Well, it's not like I've been in a domestic plane travel tho. LOL. So far, my flights were always international until... yeah, this trip.
So I board the plane to Tokyo from KLIA2, and it it would be my first time to visit KL. Even before the boarding, I already feel anxious. Unlike last year trip, that required us to take a transit in Singapore which is already familiar for me because I've been there for 2 previous trips. At least, I'm familiar with how things work there. KLIA2 would be a new experience for me to get thru. Besides, I will be there only for less than 2 hours, meaning that I will have to hurry instead of learning the airport. It was a short trip from the country to KL, yet the whole times I didn't really enjoy it. As I predicted it was a rushing time to catch up the plane to Haneda... anxiety anxiety. Until when I boarded the plane, at least. When the flight attendant's voice explaining things in Japanese I felt relief.. haha. At last, something familiar! I'm just that easy. It was a long journey to Haneda and since we're a little ahead than scheduled, naturally we arrived early. Still, with the long process I only managed to get onto the train on around 11 (or more?). I haven't yet find wifi except a short connection offered by JR East. So I took the monorail then got off at Hamamatsu-cho just to take JR to Ueno (uhm, or Nippori? Either one of them is my usual point of transit) then to take the train to Minamisenju, where my hotel is, just like last year's. Everything is very girigiri and I just glad I didn't miss the last train and by the time I reached the hotel it was over 12 already. I have requested the hotel people to wait for my late arrival tho, so when the staff told me that I'm the last to check in that night I'm not surprised.
Yeah, finally. So I went upstair where my room is just two doors away from the room I shared with my friend last year. Everything could wait tomorrow so I just wash my face, hands, and feet and prepared to go to bed. I was hungry, but for now, a little bit drink and snack will do. Sleep! For the sake of tomorrow!!!
Sorry that this is a loooong post but rather than a report, it's more like my impression of the concert itself. Since it was my first time attend an Arashi concert and it took me quite some times to finish writing this all (yep, due to work and internet connection), there may be many things missed. Plus the fact that I didn't take even a note to write interesting things happened when the show is going (my bad!). So yeah, mistakes are much possible. Pardon for any structure and grammar mistake, English is not my first language and I keep studying it forever.
I arrived quite late in the Dome area. We're allowed to get inside starting 14.00 but I think I was arrived on 14.30. Plus, I have to wait for Berda, my friend from whom I got the ticket, as she's also watching the concert. It took only a minute or so to tap my fanlight in the area near the Tokyo Dome Hotel and then I headed to the front of the Dome. There are already many people packed up the area, but I still have to wait so I took my time to buy extra goods I want (can't help it! XP). My plan is to buy a medal brooch, roller stamp, and another Ohno's mini uchiwa for my sister (I was totally forgot so I only bought one for myself on 19th). To my surprise I found that Ohno's mini uchiwa is sold out! Not long after followed by group's clearfile and Ohno's clearfile also out of stock! Well, Ohno is popular lately it seems? Also it's the last day of the tour so people might be buying extra goods as many as possible, haha.
I guess I'll write my report on Ghibli and Nakano in another post. ^^b
After enjoying free breakfast from our hostel in Yokohama that morning, we left for Kawagoe. Yeah, from Yokohama to Kawagoe is quite a length of a journey. This time we have to meet with another friend of my friend right in Kawagoe station. It was my first time meeting her, Yoshie-san and her senpai in university, Morita-san. I guess it was their first time in Kawagoe too (?) We have to find coin lockers to put my friend luggage and my omiyage from Yokohama then looking for a kaiten sushi shop to answer the wailing stomach (already! haha). There's no Sushiro nearby but we found a cheap one in the atre mall right in front of the station. Almost everything is 100 yen (+tax ofc) but as my friend said the choices are not as wide as Sushiro. But well, we haven't eat sushi ever since we're in Japan, so it's fine.
( too many pics, sorry... )
Mr. Donut is everywhere here!
( A day in Yokohama )
So... I'm home now!
After spending about 10 days in Japan, it's somehow feel good to back to my lovely home town. Haha.
Not that Japan isn't great, is not about that at all. Japan is good, but the best part is of course Tokyo Dome! <3
I wouldn't say I've met the boys, but at least I saw them with my own two eyes.
I went to Tokyo for the first 6 days (landing in Narita) then headed to Osaka, Kobe, and Kyoto to back to Narita again in the last day. Basically my Tokyo days full of meeting new (and old) people. Here are the timeline occurences.
18 December 2014
Arrived in Narita on time, Took my wifi in QL Liner (Terminal 2, 3rd floor). Buying kairo for cold protection (that thing is magic, really!) headed to Tokyo Station by Keisei Bus. Got lost in Tokyo Station, yeah. But then found the right way, go to Ueno then change train to Minami Senju. Took times for us to fing the right way to our hotel, but finally found it! Welcomed by the strong cold wind and light drizzle. Phew. We're finally arrived. The initial plan is to watch Kabuki and roaming around Shibuya, but since we're tired and need cleaning and eating something... we stopped for a while.
Met a boy named Jarid from Australia when we use the common room to eat and relax. Haha. He stayed with friends after their study tour is over like a week prior. Talked about manga, anime, and jpop cultures. Wow.
Clean body and happy stomach, headed to Akihabara! Akiba is just a few station away from Minami Senju. And happy thing is we decided to try another way (randomly) to go to the station and found a nice path: it's quieter and easier and nearer. Lucky! Get lost a little bit in Akiba just to try to find Book Off but managed to found it after buying some stuffs in Uniqlo (quite pricey for me, just grab a pair of stocking). It was in the atre 1. Japanese station usually has this shopping centre around that called atre, I think. Have seen them in quite some places. Finally, Book Off! but I didn't find what I'm looking for there, so no shopping.
It's quite late so we decided to back to hotel and continue the journey on the next day. That night is pretty cold, probably because it was our first night in Japan so we need to adapt. It's winter anyway.
19 December 2014
Already made appointment with 2 people that day: meet Daphne and my friend who will bring me ticket. But there's one thing need to be done first: get the goods in Tokyo Dome. So we headed to Tokyo Dome thru Suidobashi Station (it's quite near from Minami Senju!) and yes, the Dome was easy to find. Across the street from Suidobashi station all the way to the dome there are some girls holding signs asking for ticket... ah so sad to see them ><. Reached the dome area, there are many people already, and there are some different spots for good sales. There are many staffs who show you the way, saying "Arashi concert goods sale is this way" so you won't be confused, just follow the line. I choose to enter the nearest one from Suidobashi entrance, which is indoor, near the shopping and food center I guess. There are already many people queuing but not too long since there are many booths and it was basically quick service (excellent staffs!). Basically they separated the goods like bags and photobook, or mini uchiwas and medal brooch, so you can basically hopping from booth to booth once you get what you want. I've done my shopping only in about 30 minutes!!! Truly a fulfiling quality time in my opinion. On the end of the sales venue there's a digitalian area where you can tap your fanlight according to your ticket color. Sadly I haven't got my ticket yet, so I couldn't tap my uchiwa. So I got thru and went out. Took some times to rest and take a look around the dome. It was around 12 so I bet the rehearsal is starting already? This thought somehow makes me excited. Overall, even tho there are many people come and goe but the sales is fast and easy. The staffs are very nice and helpful (remember, with my crappy Japanese mixed with Engrish of course XP).
Took quite some times to find the restaurant, it was small but cozy. To our surprise, this shop also featured in Arashi ni Shiyagare where Furuta Arata came as the guest... they even displayed the caps of that episode inside and outside the store, ahaha! I ordered Beef Kebab Rice Bowl, the portion is big so I have difficulty finishing my food >< so sad... even though the jalapeno is great!!! Next time I won't buy the don, really.
After lunch Daphne kindly guided us roaming around Akiba. She's good in Japanese so it's easy to move around without getting lost haha! My Japanese is basically crappy so it helps a lot. Visited Hard Off and found a decent binoculars for my friend, later this is useful for concert so I borrowed from her, haha *slapped*. Went to Don Quijote (too many stuffs!!! o.O) and animate to grab some omiyage requested by friends back home. Time flies and Daphne have to go as she has another appointment. Thank you so much, Daphne <3 Sorry for all the ruckus! Hope we can meet again next time ;) Still have some times before 7 (the time I have to pick my ticket) so walking around Akihabara station and enjoy the park (?) in front of the station.
It takes about 30 minutes to go to Shibuya so we left Akiba on about 6.30. Shibuya is a pretty big station and with the current flows of people it doesn't help at all... it was rush hour I guess? Or maybe it's just so many people going to Shibuya. Even so we're succeed and met right in front of Hachiko exit. So there I met Berda and got my ticket! It's blue <3 Berda was with her two friends and apparantly they have another appointment in few minutes. Shibuya is just too crowded, huh. So we just walked across the street ahead to Tsutaya together then separated, before making another appoinment to attend the concert together.
I found what I'm looking for in Tsutaya but decided to leave it for now and went to look for Mandarake instead. We failed to find the store but caught up on Book Off (yep, again!) and Bingo instead. Bingo is the part of Book Off which sells secondhand clothes, watches, shoes, and other accessories. They have some new stuffs too I guess. My friend got a pair of cute boots here only with 500 yen, she's lucky. Sadly, even this Book Off doesn't have many Arashi CDs, only some DVDs... but a lot of drama DVDs (which are expensive!). Me got a secondhand cd for omiyage in Book Off instead. It's getting late so we decided to drop the Mandarake plan and went back to Tsutaya. Oh yeah, at that time, Shibuya is basically full of TOKIO, Kanjani8, and Kis-My-Ft2 promoting their own project. I only once seen Devil Nino Pocky haha. Speaking of the devil, accidentally my friend found a branch of Tacchon's dad yakitori chain restaurant: Torikizoku, completed with a mugendai sign after the name.
Grab what we want in Tsutaya and then ride on the train back to hostel~ The next day we'll meet another friend and a group of students in tour in Yokohama and plan to ride the ferris wheel in Minato Mirai 21! So it's all for now.
an Arashi ticket.
Like, by all means.
I've asked for help through je-sales, I wonder if I'll get it 'tho. I'm still hopeful, I'm sure when there's a will, there's a way. *pray hard*
I've mentioned that I don't mind which date or seat I can get, because I'll be there the whole time Arashi doing concert in Tokyo. In the mean time, I can shop for concert goods, haha.
Ah, by the way.
also for Machida Shingo <3
Keep your health well, guys!
I'm glad he said he'll send email to Machida in this morning Arashi Discovery ;D Will be waiting for the report!!!
So yes, I'm still contemplating whether I should watch Go Morita's butai though... due to this information from J-net, Buenos Aires Gozen Reiji will be performed in the whole month of December. Okay, is not totally whole... however there are a lot of performances, almost every day. Right. Maybe I'll get this too only because I want to watch butai at least once, hehe.
So, anyone in Tokyo this December? ;)))
My feelings. Not from the start when I knew you, but from the start I know the true, the real you. I just have to be thankful to those who worked hard translating many Arashi magazine/pamphlet articles, because that's how I truly know you.
( i t ' s J d a y! <3 )
oh the words has escaped me. *sigh*
Because I love this song and I love how Yaracchi perform this beautifully along with Imai Tsubasa and Nakayama Yuma, I decide to sub the Maitta ne, Konya performance in Playzone 2013. Maitta ne, Konya is a Shounentai's song. Hope you enjoy it too ;)( more caps & links )
*20/03/14 - updated with ZS and GDrive links
Haha, I'm trolling~ ;P
The real truth is I have so many things to talk and/or confess about. Regarding Arashi. Regarding Me, myself. Regarding What I feel. Whoa, that's a lot. I think now is the time to blurt them out (more like, it's now than ever) because I've received and been given so much since I knew them: the 5 people with indescribable I dunno-what. Sooner or later I have to write this out because the feeling is getting stronger and stronger as time goes. I think I need to properly express this, in my own words, in my own way.
Lately I'm rarely (almost never) updated my personal blog that's written in my first language. I think I know why, most probably because I don't feel the comfort of using the language anymore: either I'll sound so rude and egocentric or I'll sound too formal and stiff. That's the difficulty I face with using my first language. So yes, the result is I talk more in this LJ, my tumblr, and my rambling-personal-blog, plus, more than anything: twitter. Even so, I don't post that much in this LJ so I figure it's the right time to write what I should write before it's getting more and more complicated (in a good way though), the feeling itself.
the pre-era (knowing Johnny's)/first first impression
I knew Tackey from dramas, I knew Jun (as the character, I dunno anything but Jun himself at that time) from HYD 1, I knew Shun from dramas too (I mentioned Shun since there are many dramas I watched because I want to see him). It was quite some times before I finally knew Johnny's. Talk about the times, I think Shun is the most recent one because I knew him from HYD but his image didn't really stick to my head yet I immediately recognized him when I watch Detective Conan live action.
So when I watched HanaKimi (invited by a friend), my impression is: "whoa, this guy again. this guy surely appeared a lot in jdramas eh?" That's when I found Toma. Shortly after watching HanaKimi, I watched Gokusen 2. So I found Kame and Jin. It was around that time I introduced to Johnny's, thanks to Toma, and Kame and Jin too ;P.
I know Toma has another great drama (or that's what internet says) titled Maou, in which my friend looked for and failed to be found but she found the soundtrack instead. Yes, it's no other than 'truth'. There I was, introduced to a 'certain senpai group' that Toma worked with one of them in Maou, which is the group's leader apparently. Impression: 'oh, he looks like a boring, stiff old man.'
Watching my first Arashi PV, there are some vivid first impressions left:
- good song, almost great. well yeah, it's growing on me. I like rock after all.
- wait, it sounds like some kind of J-rock group, hmm? Laruku? T.M. Revolution? Anything like that. Those guys who sung for Rurouni Kenshin anime's OST? Are mostly J-male group's songs this type? They didn't look like v-kei though.
- eh. but they're not a band, they're just singing dan dancing with orchestra playing behind them... or they''re actually playing instruments? well... the dance looks cool indeed.
- -regarding Ohno- oh so this's the senpai. well, looks old, boring (and bored). ugh, I dunno. not that important.
- -regarding Jun- hey, I knew him somewhere... wait. *thinking* was it that romance-but-not-so-romantic drama? HYD right? I remembered him, the cocky-yet-gentle jerk right? when he saved that girl... I thought I change my mind (just quite a bit tho) abt him. Name? I don't really care, I don't remember. well, it was a great drama... I stick to that one 'til the end, the script+the acting+the chemistry all great. *searching* eh, so it's this guy. well, he's still look like a jerk, a little bit huh. I guess it's his personality? but he's so different when he saved that girl, okay... nice acting then.
- -regarding Sho- I dunno him, just a regular guy huh? Nothing special. So, so.
- -regarding Aiba- ehh, isn't he's the most ugly one? (I did think that way LOL) so average, so... like some kind of Chinese celeb? Is he japanese? or not? what's with the hair color? Looks like someone from 5566, dunno... that basketball c-drama? or taiwanese drama? I didn't follow it back then. Red pants huh? Maybe that's the odd part, because his hair is reddish too :v.
- -regarding Nino- eh? huh? I think this one is quite cute (finally!)... he's the most handsome out of all. *searching* nicknamed Nino? oh, he has a latin blood? (XDD) well, if he truly is I'm not surprised. he has the looks of half. no, with that particular looks he should be a half! (I'm so stupid ROFL). well at least, there's someone looking good enough in this group. well, he's really cute.
By this time, I know Toma is a part of what's called 'Johnny's Junior' and enjoyed some of his performances in SC: solo, with 4TOPS, or with other groups. I know Kat-tun too (thanks to Gokusen), enjoying some of their musics. From there, I know Yamapi too, as well as other 4TOPS members. That's how I found Johnny's.
[continue to part 2]
Wish you all the best, Riida!
Really, I have no complaint about you at all. You're the best when you're being yourself, you know. Either it's your pretty face, kakkoii face, random face, poker face, trolling face, sleepy face, handsome face, ugly face, chubby face, hardworking face, serious face, thinking face, I love them all.
If it's about Ohno Satoshi, just him being himself is more than enough for me. I like him so much to that point, huh ;P
Please take care of your health always and make sure you always have time for yourself and your family, ne~ (me too ;))
I'm so grateful to know you. Thank you, thank you, thank you <3
From now on, please keep working hard and yoroshiku.
Hopefully we can see each other next year.
I'll try hard and harder too. Yosh.
Yep, I'm still posting in my tumblr and I talked quite a lot in my twitter so basically I'm still here. No I don't think I'm going nowhere, I'm still in this storm island huh. I'm glad and I'm enjoying it, haha.
( more rabu-rabu ramblings :P )
YES! OHNOVEMBER is coming~
Our Fishing Leader's month, really! :DDD
